Classic Outlook for Windows (Microsoft 365, Outlook 2016 and newer desktop versions). The “New Outlook” app isn't supported yet because Microsoft removed the local integration it relies on — support via Microsoft's cloud API is on our roadmap. That sounds slow — but it runs quietly in the background, so new mail is filed within a minute of arriving without you lifting a finger. For clearing a large backlog, optional Turbo mode uses your own OpenAI or Anthropic API key and sorts an email in about 2 seconds.
No — the built-in Eisenhower Matrix quick start creates four priority-based folders in Outlook (Do Now / Plan / Quick Wins / Later) with pre-written sorting descriptions, so you only pick an AI model and start. You can also keep your existing folder structure and describe it in plain English instead, or combine both.
In Private mode — the default — really. The AI model is downloaded once and then runs on your machine; the app makes no network calls while sorting, which you can verify with any firewall or by unplugging your network cable. Turbo mode is different by design and says so plainly: it sends email text to the AI provider whose API key you supplied. It's off until you turn it on, and one click switches back.
Because we're honest about where we are: SafeSort AI is a new product from a small company, and the installer isn't code-signed yet. Until it is, Windows SmartScreen may show a blue “Windows protected your PC” screen when you run it. To continue, click “More info” and then “Run anyway”. So you don't have to take our word for it, every release publishes a SHA-256 checksum on our download server — you can hash the file you downloaded and confirm it matches exactly what we built. Signed builds are on our roadmap; until then, we'd rather explain the warning than pretend it won't appear.
SafeSort AI is a subscription: $12 a month or $99 a year, and the launch code LAUNCH takes 30% off either — $8.40/month or $69/year. Paying gets you a license key, and renewals happen automatically for as long as you stay subscribed. Cancel anytime — there's nothing to uninstall or return; your key simply expires at the end of the period you've paid for.
Nothing dramatic. Your license keeps working until the end of the period you've already paid for, plus a short grace period — so a card hiccup never stops your mail being sorted mid-week. After that, sorting pauses but nothing is lost: your emails, folders, settings, and history stay exactly where they are, and the app remains installed. Subscribe again whenever you like and it picks up where it left off.
Sorting itself never needs the internet — that's the point of SafeSort. For licensing, the app quietly refreshes your key in the background whenever it has a connection, so most people never think about it. And every renewal also sends your current key by email as an offline fallback: if your PC stays offline, paste the key from that email into the app and you're set.
The 14-day free trial exists precisely so you can find out — on your real inbox — whether SafeSort is worth paying for before any money moves. If you buy the annual plan and change your mind anyway, email us within 14 days of the charge for a full refund. On monthly, cancelling is usually simpler than a refund — you keep the rest of your month and are never charged again — but the same 14-day window applies to your first monthly payment.
It can occasionally file something into a different folder than you would — that's why every email carries a “Why here?” explanation and every run can be undone with one click. It can't lose or delete anything: SafeSort only moves emails between your own folders, and protected folders like Sent and Drafts are never touched.
